THE FACTS
Elton M'hone, an easily distinguishable Engineer from his competitors
As age is just a number and not a limitation to achieving a greater success, as young and energetic as he is, within his four (4) years of experience in similar roles, Mr. M'hone has mightily acquired and at the same time manifested his managerial and leadership skills in four (4) ways, as described below.
-
Planning the construction project, where he clearly defines the project objectives and then communicates these objectives to his project team
-
Organizing in construction projects - he excellently understands how to secure the appropriate resources to perform the work, able to identify which tasks should be done in-house, and tasks to be done by subcontractors or consultants and most importantly, he creates an environment in which individuals are highly motivated to work together as a project team
-
Controlling the construction project, where he well understands how to implement a Management Information System designed to track actual progress and compare it with the planned progress. Such a system helps, engineers (supervisors/managers) distinguish between busy-ness and accomplishments, and the project team members in monitoring the progress of the assigned tasks and regularly provide data on progress, schedule, and cost
-
Leading the construction project - he is one person who fosters development of a common mission and vision to the project team members, as well as fostering collaboration among team members, following his definition of roles and responsibilities and performance expectations for all of them. He promotes solving and decision making as appropriate. Most importantly, Mr. M'hone is so efficient enough to remove obstacles that hamper team progress, readiness or effectiveness as he never takes a "Let's wait and see how things work out" approach, simply because he fully understands that things never work out on their own
Once again, Mr. M'hone can be relied upon to deliver anything, everything that he sets out to achieve, with his main objective being helping his employer grow, and save them money at the same time.
